Such a great movie to show the Law of Attraction in action. George (Kevin Kline) plays a discouraged architect whose life seems out of control in many ways. He is not happy at this work, he is estranged from his son and his ex-wife, Robin (Kirsten Scott Thomas) and lives in a run down old shack that is falling apart.

Will's character is the primary source of black culture in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Coleman 115). His representation of "blackness" makes him the most significant character because he encourages the other characters to acknowledge their social status which allows them to deal with specific racial issues that are affecting their lives.

When Carlton defends himself against Top Dog, he is essentially supporting Louis Althusser and his theory of ideology. In his essay, Ideology, Althusser claims that ideological representations are dominated by false conceptions (304). Therefore, when Carlton tells Top Dog he does not have to act "black" to be black, he is suggesting that Top Dog's opinion on what it means to be "black" is based on false conceptions attributed to mainstream culture. Althusser also states that in a class society, ideology ensures that one class will dominate over another (308).

Carlton's "whiteness" is constantly attacked and confronted in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air because of his social status and his personality, which can be specifically attributed to his background and the cultural environment of the American dream family structure in which he was raised. This is significant because it ties in with Murray Forman's essay, 'Represent': Race, Space and Place in Rap Music.

One Sunday in late December, I walked over to the historic Grauman's Egyptian Theater in Hollywood to catch a 7:30 pm double feature of two classic action films...Die Hard (1988) and Die Hard 2 (1990). Once the movies began, it was so much fun.
